Get Invited to Record!
Selected stories will be invited to record their story for broadcast on Sunny SFH Radio.
You’ll receive recording instructions in February and can choose to:
Record at home using your computer and a microphone or your phone’s Voice Memos app, or
Visit the Sunny SFH studio for a recording session.
We require a parent or guardian to consent before recording or broadcasting. On the form, you’ll confirm that:
You grant permission for your child’s written story to be used by Sunny SFH.
You allow us to contact you with recording instructions.
You give us permission to edit the audio for clarity and broadcast.
You understand that only first names and ages will be shared publicly.
Q: Does every story get broadcast?
A: Not necessarily. We curate stories based on theme fit, audio quality, and how they will work on-air. But we appreciate every submission.
Q: Do I need to record right away?
A: No, you can wait until we reach out. If selected, we’ll give you all the options and support.
Q: Do you pay for submissions?
A: No. This is a creative showcase, not a paid contest. Your “reward” is having your story heard by our audience and being part of a youth storytelling community.
Q: What if I don’t want to use my real name?
A: That’s fine! You can use a nickname or just your first name in the form and on-air credits.
Q: Can I submit more than once?
A: Sure! We love your enthusiasm! You can also consider being a volunteer! We have space for youth and adults to help in a variety of ways!
